Well, I have it taken upon myself (and for Luke) to begin a blog. Once we move, this will be one of the best ways for us to keep everyone back home up-to-date on the happenings of our new life and marriage. Although we'll both be swamped with school, work, and wedding stuff hopefully we can begin a good habit of blogging. Enjoy!!!
Just for a brief history, Luke and I met at school during a College Republicans meeting at King. I had come storming in over an issue that was long over due to be let go of. He really got to see my "better side" haha. Anyways.... long story short, we both had noticed the other but never felt that we could pursue it. Almost. And now here we are, 288 days away from saying "I Do".
The wedding is coming along. Some days I feel that it's creeping by and I've done barely any work on it and others seem whirl past with more happening that I can comprehend. Poor Luke has endured dozens of wedding magazines, pictures of cakes, flowers, invitations, etc. He's quite the guy to put up with all of this. Honestly I think I could wear a paper bag and it be in the backyard and he would be just as happy as if were having a 2 million dollar Chelsea Clinton affair, but he's been amazing in helping make decisions and attempting to keep me on an even keel.
We have the location for both the ceremony and reception, our wedding party is in order, and I have FINALLY picked colors and bridesmaid dresses. I have my dress and veil, the cake is picked out and the menu has been set. Engagement pictures are done and our Knot account and wedding web page are complete (almost). Shew, have I missed anything? Hahaha. Well, there is still plenty to do and much to be done sooner rather than later. I just need some motivation. It sounds silly, but yes, I do in fact need to get motivated.
Lately I have been working on the guest list. The guest list. Ugh. Every day I think of people I need to add, others I really need to take off, and the all-so-famous "am I forgetting anyone?". It's a daunting task that has given me great stress lately. Don't get me wrong, if the world was perfect we would have any and all who would wish to come, but let's be serious... money DOES NOT grow on trees. I wish it did, but it definitely does not.
School starts in just over a month and boy am I ready for it! Summer is great, but I know that both Luke and I are ready to hit the ground running and for May 14th to get here. Life has changed is more ways than one for both of us within the last year. It's so hard to remember what life was like without him, but that's ok.... I don't want to remember anything without Luke there :)
Welcome to our blog! We are so excited that you are following along with our adventures as a newly married couple, living in a new place, experiencing new things each and every day. This blog is dedicated to our lives and sharing those special moments with each of you. Enjoy!
